Step 5: Take Your GED Tests

This is what all the studying is for.

After you’ve taken your classes and practice tests, it’s time to do exactly what you’ve been studying for — take the GED Tests. Once you’ve completed your prep classes, and taken some practice tests, your class center will help you register for the real tests. There is a fee for taking the tests, which can vary depending on your state.

The tests are mostly multiple-choice, but there is an essay section for the Language Arts, Writing Test.

The 5 GED Tests Are:

  • Language Arts, Writing
  • Social Studies
  • Science
  • Language Arts, Reading
  • Mathematics
